From start to finish

I thought you guys might be interested to see what one of my paintings looks like from start to finish... So when I worked on my "Midnight Moonflower" painting, I stopped to take a few photos along the way, so you can see some behind-the-scenes stuff. :)

Okay, here is where I begin...a blank canvas!
Then I have some fun with the background and I get this...
I start on the tree and now we're getting somewhere, but it is not quite finished yet...
Add more flowers, a few falling petals...and ta-da! The finished product!

Note: This is an older post from my first blog, but I thought it would be fun to re-post it here on my new one. I hope you like it. :)

Hello World! :)

I've just given PartlySunnyStudio.com a makeover! Looks good, doesn't it?! :)
And I've decided that I'm going to use PartlySunnyStudioBlog.blogspot.com for all new blog posts about anything and everything I find interesting.

To give you an idea about what that might include, you should be able to expect all kinds of artsy things such as "Feature" posts for other artists and shop owners I think are really cool, reviews for books and movies that I think are totally awesome, funny pictures of cats, horses, squirrels and birds, and, well.... various other things that I find blog-post-worthy!

Thanks for reading this ... I hope you come back soon to check out my future blog posts. ;)
